StudioHub self-service services
StudioHub Patron Terms
Last updated: 5 October 2026
These terms apply to members of the public and patrons using StudioHub self-service services at a participating site. Commercial arrangements between StudioHub and customer organisations are governed separately.
1. The service
StudioHub provides self-service printing, scanning, copying, document processing and other public kiosk workflows for libraries and similar public environments. Not every site offers every feature. By using the service, you agree to these terms and to reasonable instructions displayed at the kiosk or provided by the library or site operator.
2. Your documents and permitted use
You must have the right or authority to access, upload, scan, copy, process or print every document you select or supply. You must not use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or harmful activity, to infringe another person's rights, to interfere with the service, or to distribute prohibited content.
You remain responsible for your documents and for selecting the correct file or source material. StudioHub does not claim ownership of patron documents merely because they are processed through the service.
3. Features, formats and limits
Available features, supported file formats, file-size and page limits, document tools, output options and document sources may vary by workflow, kiosk and site. A document may be rejected if it is unsupported, unsafe, corrupted, too large or cannot be prepared reliably.
4. Review and output
You are responsible for checking the selected document or source material, available settings, preview, page range, colour, paper size, copies, price and other choices before proceeding. Conversion, fonts, margins, colour, scanning conditions and device capabilities can affect the result. If anything looks wrong, do not proceed and ask site staff for help.
5. Site rules, charges and payment
The library or site operator may set charges, payment methods, refund policies, acceptable-use rules, availability, patron eligibility and local service policies. Those local rules apply in addition to these terms. Questions about a particular charge, refund or physical output should first be directed to staff at that site.
6. Availability
StudioHub aims to provide a dependable service, but availability can vary and may be interrupted by internet access, third-party providers, kiosk hardware, printers, scanners, maintenance or other factors. Features may change, and StudioHub does not guarantee that every document or requested workflow can be processed or completed.
7. Privacy
Our Patron Privacy Notice explains how StudioHub handles documents, Google Drive data, temporary sessions and operational information. Please read it before using the service.
8. Responsibility and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StudioHub is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss caused by an incorrect selection or unchecked preview, or interruption or failure outside StudioHub's reasonable control. Where StudioHub is liable in connection with a transaction, its liability is limited to the amount paid for that affected transaction, except where applicable law does not permit that limit.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under New Zealand consumer law.
9. Changes, law and contact
StudioHub may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. The date above shows the latest revision. These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
